St Augustine’s is a larger than average primary school with a nursery in the London Borough of Redbridge and the Catholic Diocese of Brentwood. The school is popular, with the majority of children coming from the four parishes which we serve: St Augustine’s (Barkingside), St John Vianney (Clayhall), St John the Baptist (Ilford) and Our Lady of the Assumption (Hainault).
Our school is an extension of home and the different parishes. Christ is at the centre of all that we do. We are proud of our Catholic Faith, which is taught and ‘lived out’ at our school. The Gospel teachings are explored throughout our day, and time is made to talk with God.
The school is a culturally diverse community and as such, we value and appreciate the needs of children from a diversity of backgrounds. The parents, parishes and governors work in partnership to recognise the challenges and priorities of such a diverse community.
